This is the first blog post for Kratz PR and Management, and frankly, this is my first blog post period. I’ve always thought that blogging and “tweeting” were pointless and juvenile practices. How ironic is it that as I grow as a professional, I realize that blogging is more important than ever, especially for a young PR pro. Well here I am, about 2 months since I’ve started my own Kratz PR and Management. Honestly, it’s exceeded all of my expectations and then some. I am looking at 5 clients, with a possible 6th one in the works! In two months?!!
It’s a little overwhelming at times, but fun nonetheless. To make the job even more strenuous, I am starting to team up with a wildly successful company from Miami, Feverish Ice Cream. I know I’m going to learn so much from them and our partnership. On top of that, my client Manny “EazzY” Scott is a 24-7 job! All kidding aside, he’s my brother, and I couldn’t ask for a better person to work with.
I’ve also started working with 3SecondReceipts LLC as I’m sure most of my followers know. Let me take this chance to say thank you to their CEO and my friend Bradley Ericson. He’s an inspiration to us young professionals, and I’ve learned so much in our short time working together. I am very excited to be apart of this unbelievable concept and company.
My other two clients, BeMe LLC and Kids’ MusicRound are companies that no suburban mother should do without! The founders of BeMe, Tina Paparone and Angela Giovine, are an inspiration to young girls everywhere, and their product emulates that to the fullest extent. Kids’ MusicRound is the most established of all of my clients, and there is no ceiling. I feel that my work for them will benefit both parties exponentially.
That’s a little background on the people that I am working with. Because I am new to this, I think it would selfish to not mention those who are helping me grow as each day passes. After all, these people are believing in me! A 19 year old student! That being said, I believe in myself and my services. I am not alone though on this business venture. While I am the only member of our team with a PR background, my photographers Ciara Patterson and Lauren Hamilton are essential to mine, and my client’s success. Considering Lauren is MY “manager” and better half, I don’t know what I would do without her. I couldn’t ask for a better person to share my life with.
The main thing that has served me in the early going is using the resources available to me. I don’t think it is a slight that my clients are either friends or family. I do not expect anything form them because of our personal relationship. Rather, I know that our personal relationships will translate into successful professional relationships. It is important to separate those distinctions, but one should never be afraid to use what is at their fingertips.
These first two months have been a whirlwind, and I can already feel it. It will get better from here, and I will take everything in stride. I have so much to learn, but I know I can serve my clients and fulfill their needs. I hope all of you are excited as I am! Again, thank you to everyone who has helped get even this far. Especially Mom and Dad! It’s only going to get better and I hope I continue to receive the support I have so far.
